Checklist: What’s Needed to Open an Account

 

Before we can begin working together, we need to get to know you better. To open a business account and organization membership with us, you'll be asked to provide certain documents, depending on the type of business. These are listed below.

If you do not see your business type on this list, contact us for more information. From non-profits to joint ventures, we can help. 

 

Sole proprietors

 

  • Registration of Company or Master Business License

  • Sales Permit, where required

  • One piece of federal or provincial government-issued photo ID

  • One additional piece of ID with complete address such as a credit card statement or a utility bill

  • Social insurance number 1 

 

Partnerships: For each partner

 

  • Registration of Company

  • Sales Permit, where required

  • Partnership Agreement, either the original or a certified true copy

  • One piece of federal or provincial government-issued photo ID

  • One additional piece of ID with complete address such as a credit card statement or a utility bill 

  • Social insurance number 1

 

Corporations: For each individual/signatory

 

  • Articles of Incorporation

  • Complete set of Corporate By-Laws

  • Shareholders Agreement (Beneficial Ownership) and/or the Shareholders Register

  • Company Resolution (Original copy required)

  • Government-issued Ontario Business Identification Number (BIN) certificate

  • T1 Form confirming names of officers

  • Sales Permit, where required

  • F2 Company Trade Name Registration

  • One piece of federal or provincial government-issued photo ID

  • One additional piece of ID with complete address such as a credit card statement or a utility bill 

  • Social insurance number 1
